Re: Old Rides

Is there a height difference between a Hawk 24 and a Hawk 48??? There is no difference in height for the Zamperla Hawk 24 or 48 models. They both send passengers upside down at 70 feet high. The only difference is capacity. 8) In that case, I'll be quite happy with Lumberjack!!! You should be as it...

Re: Wonderland Merchandise Thread

I'm always on the lookout for more park merch... Why is our selection so poor??? Do Canadians not buy souvenirs??? Canadians seem to be a very thrifty people who would rather save money for real estate than in actually having fun. I buy souvenirs at the park, but usually nearing the end of the seas...

Re: Old Rides

Now that Soaring Timbers is being put in, a lot of CW fanboys should be happy they have a newer version of JetScream. I never rode the ride back then but from what I heard the restraints were fairly painful, so this should be considered a major upgrade in comfort and capacity. You mean Lumberjack, ...

Re: Future Enjoyment sign spotted

Yay B&M! :excited: Certainly exciting that they already have track on site, but it's possible they only have enough for the tunnel since they would need to install those track sections before enclosing the tunnel and refilling Lake LeBarge (i.e., before the park opens this season). Then they can wo...

Re: Future Enjoyment sign spotted

Here's some awesome news hot off the Screamscape press, and this time it is actually happening! Canada's Wonderland has submitted a permit application with the Toronto Water Conservation Authority to construct a roller coaster which features an underwater tunnel/trench nearby Vortex! This coaster co...

Re: New For 2018- Lumberjack, Flying Canoes, and Splash Island Expansion

Canada's Wonderland's Director of Communications, Grace Peacock provided a Lumberjack update via Twitter. If you look closely while watching the video, you will see that the concrete support structure has been put in place. It won't be long now until Lumberjack's ride structure and components get pu...

Re: A Retro Wonderland

Here is a wintry retro Canada's Wonderland photo shared by Canada's Wonderland via Facebook today. The photo shows a snow covered Mighty Canadian Minebuster! If I were to guess, this photo was probably captured in either 1981 or 1982. 8) [attachment=0]26168919_10155388373363924_7076583730274497378_n...

Re: A Retro Wonderland

Since it is officially the off-season, I thought I would post some retro Wonderland related stuff to keep us entertained during the off-season. Below are a few videos which were uploaded recently to the Retrontario YouTube channel. They are 30 second clips which were produced before the park had ope...

Re: Future Enjoyment sign spotted

If you guys remember correctly, Splash Works' Splash Island is receiving an expansion for 2018 so that could possibly be the reason as to why the path along Splash Works is closed. Also while I was at the park last Saturday, I noticed that the ice cream truck located near Mighty Canadian Minebuster ...

Re: What days are the least busy during the year

For the past few years, the park has been open on weekdays during the months of May and June with reduced hours. I've gone during these times over the past few years and had a great time as the park wasn't busy, meaning most rides were walk-on's or had very minimal waits, even on nice sunny days. Th...

Re: New Parking Garage for 2018?

The markings do look like ones for a parking garage, but they could also be for something else, possibly a new toll booth similar to that at Kings Island given the location of the markings. But, we will just have to wait and see. 8)
