Re: Wonder Mountain's Guardian - New for 2014!

At the announcement they really stressed the interactive part, which will distinguish it from Thunder Run. It also has a "Surprise Ending" which surprisingly hasn't been mentioned yet. It's supposed to make those afraid of rides think twice about riding again. I'm actually really excited t...

Re: 2014 at Canada's Wonderland

^ I distinctly recall a lot of people scoffing at the idea of a 300ft+ coaster when we were all speculating over Leviathan. They thought it was craaaaaaaazy to think that we'd get something so big so soon after Behemoth. Leviathan fit into a fairly standard 4 year cycle, I think the reason people w...

Re: Halloween Haunt 2013

This year's Haunt looks great! It seems like Lousiana Scream is a redone Blood On The Bayou, not necessarily a bad thing. The Ruins also seems like a great maze to set inside the mountain. Also, I'm really excited to see Terror of London returning!

Re: 2014 at Canada's Wonderland

I think everyone should lower their expectations a bit for this ride. I don't think we're getting something on the scale of Leviathan or Behemoth. As for the twitter conversation of: "How Will you ever top Leviathan?" "We Have a few things up our sleeve", that just sounds like a ...

Re: The Next Coaster...

I don't think it's necessary to take out anything to put in a new coaster. That said, something like Maverick would be amazing.

Re: 2014 at Canada's Wonderland

I think the most likely addition is either a small coaster inside the mountain, or a nice flat ride in the mountain. Or maybe it has nothing to do with the mountain and this is restoration, but it looks like more than that.

Re: 2014 at Canada's Wonderland

Right, I forgot about that. We don't know what could happen for this year's Haunt though.

Re: Dorney Park Launches Fast Pay

I think this system could be really useful. I don't like using cash at parks because then you have change that just flies out of your pockets, if you don't want to have to carry around a backpack. When I was at CP in May it was nice after we went back to the room for lunch not to have to carry anyth...

Re: DARIEN LAKE

When I was at Darien Lake two years ago I found it was extremely quiet, and it was July 4  . I do remember it being a much different atmosphere than Wonderland. I've heard this season they've been doing a lot of rehab work on the rides and trains during the season, causing a lot of one train ...

Re: 2014 at Canada's Wonderland

Another interesting section that I noticed some minimal work being done was white water canyon looked to have some fencing torn down and small trees cleared in the closed off second viewing area near the water fall section. There were also log formations hiding things... I haven't been to the park ...

Re: 2014 at Canada's Wonderland

Although clones can be annoying, the ones that we have fit in well with the park, so it doesn't really matter too much. I find Wonderland has a great variety of all kinds of rides, compared to the other parks that I've been to, especially with flats.

Re: Halloween Haunt 2013

Club Blood's front facing is already being put up, so it is returning this year. I think Cornstalkers should be dropped, it was pretty boring last year when I was in it. I hope Terror Of London returns.

Re: Announcements for Kings Island and Cedar Point!

Finally! Someone who agrees with me . . . NO LOOPING WOODIES AT WONDERLAND!!!!! And just a side note . . . Darien Lake had plans to put in a corkscrew woodie next year . . . I think those plans are now on hold. My advice to Darien Lake . . . NO LOOPING OR CORKSCREW WOODIES PLEASE!!!!! Safety, Safet...

Re: Behemoth Vibrations

I definitely think it has to be the trains. Do the other hypers with these trains rattle like Behemoth? They're newer but I'm still wondering. (Diamondback, Intimidator, Shambhala).

Re: Six Flags Over Texas: Rider Dies

^^I don't know if you're mentioning the supposed clicks on this ride from the news stories, but New Texas Giant's restraints don't click, they're hydraulic. ^NTG is a new ride, and won't dispatch unless all of the restraints are locked. For the ride operators, especially in North America, it is rout...
