Fog machines are being tested for this year's edition of Halloween Haunt.

If it's at the sides of the royal fountain it's for starlight spectacular show. Most likely the lasersJohnny Au wrote:Fog machines are being tested for this year's edition of Halloween Haunt.

Re: Halloween Haunt 2017
Johnny, fog machines have been used at Haunt for years. Why does everyone think they are 'testing' fog machines?
It's funny, I was just thinking of starting Haunt 2017 the other day, since Haunt 2016 was started in 2015, but then I still thought it was too early.
Oh, well, here we go . . . since every maze is permanent now, yes every maze is at wonderland year round, which equals zero set-up and construction, my question is this. Are we going to get another new 'permanent' maze, or are we just going to get the same 9 mazes every year? What do you all think?

Re: Halloween Haunt 2017
Not every maze at Wonderland is permanent. Streets of the Undead is taken down every year to allow for the "Music Fest" for high school students, The Asylum's facade is taken down (though I have no idea why, since it's behind the scenes), and there's always new corn set up for Cornstalkers. Also, Club Blood and Blood Shed are taken down to allow for group catering events in Coutyard throughout the year.
I do hope that we get more permanent mazes in the future, because those ones are by far the best in my opinion (The Ruins and Spirit Manor are unbelievably well themed)! There's the possibility they could set up a permanent maze in the old Laser Tag building and I know someone had wondered about another outdoors maze being located next to Soaring Timbers. (There's nothing really to support this, but it is a fair bit of land, so why not?)
In short, there are still a lot of mazes that require set up and construction each year (not to mention the scare zones and atmospheric theming throughout the park), but there are still new areas that can be explored for future Haunt additions.

Correct me if I'm wrong but why haven't we got a proper graveyard for deceased rides

It would be a neat and somewhat sad feature as other parks do it. Maybe you should consider suggesting it to the park!Ragebob wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong but why haven't we got a proper graveyard for deceased rides

I wonder what will happen with Code Red (aka The Asylum) this year. There was a large amount of controversy with its theme last year.

Re: Halloween Haunt 2017
Ty, Streets and Blood Shed are in their own buildings, and Cornstalkers hasn't been changed for many years. If you check the haunt site this year, you will see they don't hire carpenters anymore. This is why they don't set up Clowns and the big maze at Kingswood anymore, the big projects are set up year-round.

You just send in an email to Guest Services. That's what I do when I have a suggestion for the park.Ragebob wrote:How? Re: Halloween Haunt 2017
Another suggestion I have is to have Mega Maze moved from Ontario Place to Canada's Wonderland and have it dressed up well for Halloween Haunt.
Mega Maze just looks excellent for Halloween Haunt (as well as during the regular season).

Re: Halloween Haunt 2017
I'VE BEEN SUMMONED BY DISCUSSION OF HALLOWEEN.
One thing I will say... "Affected", the VR game in the Medieval faire will probably be INCREDIBLY popular. I hope to see more VR horror for the Haunt.
Also, I personally would love to see a Maze were the mini-put was besides Soaring Timbers, but I think that's kind of a stretch.
I want to see more mazes... more variety of mazes... but I know how hard it is not only to FIND scare actors and other workers, but to keep them on the full season.
I am actually nervous to see which mazes may survive this year.

"in addition to 700 monsters prowling the Park"
They have that on the proto-Haunt site for this year, did this hold true for last year, were there around 700 monsters prowling the park? Could we expect that many on opening night?
