Do you really think I'm stupid? You are so hostile. First in the Twitter thread and now. You know what I meant. I meant I think they were being used.

Actually on Behemoth they are half way up the hills. They are used to slow down the train slightly as it goes over each hill.

Yes, they're used to slow the train down before an airtime hill to control the amount of airtime.

I was at media day this year and last and I can tell you that the trims were on in both cases.

The trims on Behemoth are set to reduce the train speed only when it exceeds the programmed limit. This speed limit over the airtime hills is determined by the manufacturer, in this case Bolliger & Mabillard, and the park has no say in those settings.

Here is a link to a pic of Behemoth's trim brakes.

The mid-course brake run (or MCBR) is a type of block brake. Blocks on a rollercoaster represent "sections" of the ride. The program for the ride dictates that no 2 trains can occupy blocks which are too close together. This is why the brakes in the MCBR sometimes comes on harder than others.

Exactly. And that's why the trims are in place. They're to benefit the rider!

I wouldn't mind some nice ejector on Behemoth 8)

B&M coasters are not particularly known for ejector air... not to say that some of them do not have moments of that... but the majority of their standard coasters are full of "floater air", like Behemoth.

I like ejector air much more than floater but floater is still fun. I wish that B&M would make a hyper with ejector air for once, it's not like the negative forces on Behemoth are at their limit, they could be more intense the only thing is that I hear B&M trains are heavy and less intense airtime makes maintenance cheaper?

you are more likely going to find ejector air on a woodie.... to be pricise, on those sudden "jolting" moments they can provide, like the famous double down on Kennywood's Jack Rabbit... or the triple down on Voyage.
