Wild Water Kingdom - Brampton, ON
Re: Wild Water Kingdom - Brampton, ON
Anyone hear any updates?
Re: Wild Water Kingdom - Brampton, ON
From what I've noticed visually, it looks like the structure for the large white drop slides looks to have been repainted green on the stairs. I believe this has occurred within the past few months. Other than that, I haven't noticed anything or heard of anything in regards to the water park's reopening since Premier Parks has announced that they had purchased the park.Scott84 wrote:Anyone hear any updates?

I have noticed this week that the main structure for the large white drop body slides has been painted completely green. It real stands out in the morning sun! It may also appear that they have touched up on some other slides as well, but I'm not too sure. I don't know what else has been done at the park but, I'm sure it'll look great once it does re-open.

Along with new owners, comes a new name for Wild Water Kingdom. Wild Water Kingdom has been renamed Wet' n'Wild Toronto to coincide with Premier Park's other water parks of a similar name. The new logo for the Brampton water park can be found below. Also, with a new name comes a new attraction, a brand new kid's spray-ground featuring many slides and dump buckets. Apparently, Cedar Fair has the exclusive worldwide rights to the name "Wild Water Kingdom" ever since the water park in Brampton ceased operations (and after Premier Parks purchased it).
Re: Wild Water Kingdom - Brampton, ON
I have also gone ahead to rename the Wild Water Kingdom article on Wikipedia to reflect its new name: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wet'n'Wild_Toronto
Mods: It would be great to rename the thread to "Wet'n'Wild Toronto - Brampton, ON".

Here's a recent construction update from Wet'n'Wild Toronto. Below is a photo of the all new Crazy Kanuck water slide under construction on February 2nd, 2017. According to Wet'n'Wild Toronto on their Facebook page, the Crazy Kanuck along with the new kid's spray-ground announced earlier will be two of the five new attractions set to open at the park this summer. Also below are some satellite images from Google Earth showcasing the major construction process that Wet'n'Wild Toronto has endured over the past several months since Premier Parks acquired the water park during the summer.

How can Premier Parks construct a canal so quickly, as well as remove a mini-golf course and a few features?
Re: Wild Water Kingdom - Brampton, ON
As of February 25th, the new Crazy Kanuck water slide complex appears to be nearing completion. It is also important to note that Wet'n'Wild Toronto has recently released a sneak peek of how the park will look this summer. A more detailed map is expected to be released over the following months.
